Chinese Brides Myths Busted!

Marrying a Chinese girl myself and having lived in China for over eight years I have heard a lot of comments that fall far short of the mark where the Chinese brides are concerned. Take my friend, for example, that the other day he called me from the U.S. and informed me that he had heard that the Chinese government will put a heavy tax on their females countries if they wanted to marry a non-Chinese!

Now before you worry about, let me first tell you that is just ridiculous. It turns out that my friend had heard through another friend who in turn had read some article online. In fact, the "article" was simply a forum post by someone who just commented that he thought "maybe" the Chinese government should do that in order to reduce the amount Western marry them!

Although this is a rare example, I'd bust some common myths about Chinese brides for you, here and now:

1. Chinese brides are short! Not really. China is a huge country and genetics vary from region to region. This belief was due to the early Chinese immigrants in the West than in the more prosperous south of China, and this region is famous for "short" girls and all Chinese will tell. The further north you go, the higher in females. There are some very tall Chinese women in the north in dire need of men to match up!

2. Chinese women are dying to leave your country! This is actually more common than usual, actually. Chinese women are exceptionally subsidiary, family is everything and more desire to be near them. It's actually only a small percentage of Chinese women who want to leave their country compared to the population. If you can find one who is willing to leave their own country and is loyal and filial, then you are a winner in relation to marriage!

3. Chinese girls only care about money in the search for a man to marry. This is repeated so often that you will be surprised if someone does not mention when talking about Chinese women! Not exactly the case, what a woman really China expect from a material point of view, it is often much less than a Western woman wait!

The difference is: In Chinese culture it is perfectly acceptable to speak of material desires in all situations (which is not so openly and honestly), while in Western culture is unacceptable to women who are expecting materially no man, so they hide, but remains one of their criteria is not spoken in their choice of marriage partner!

China is a country that only began to open to the world in 1979, and even now, there are a lot of misconceptions about the country and its women. Make sure you do not know and be sure to end a truly happy marriage!
