When Your Dream Dies

Don McLean 1971 in the "American Pie" was written song called. Song for the loss of innocence in Don's own life and change the fifties of the U.S. as "Happy Days" left and plunged into the turmoil of the sixties was going through a parallel sounds. War protesters and civil rights inquiries about U.S. policies emerged. A near-utopian vision of society was dying and disturbing reality is that the place was barely acknowledged.

McLean expressed anger when he writes:

"Oh, and there we all were in place
A generation lost in space
Resume with no time left. "

It's almost blasphemous to think he is a community that a dark period of our history was plunging into a description of the failure of defense Church:

"Church bells all were broken.
And three men I most admire:
Father, Son and Holy Ghost,
They got to shore the last train
Day the music died. "

He also expresses frustration as he lives with his confusion about copes:

"I am a lonely teenage 'broncin was buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck,
But I knew I was out of luck
Day the music died. "

Death of a dream is a hard pill to swallow. Young adults sometimes the real world of childhood innocence as they a "dog eat dog" world is like making the transition from the stark reality is reality struck. Shed the blood of dead dreams of the life drain and some may never recover from wounds. Reality of another attack comes much later in life. It often "mid-life crisis" is known as.

At this stage in life for many, a dream vision loss severe pain, often to retrieve or create a vision leads to acts of desperation causes. Divorced often claim that their husbands as they made an expendable commodity to the reality that they experience all they wanted in life were not going to face will be trying to deal with depression. They often insurmountable debt in mid-life or their children are overwhelmed by the unexpected dependence. They always thought they got promotion is not going to be. By the death of his parents harsh reminder of his death is difficult to handle. Loneliness of an empty nest may be disappointing. Decades in the life of a wayward child of the futility of investing can be painful.

Music, died on the day they finally realize they will never write that book. They started a company or an independently wealthy will be dreamed. Somehow thought someone stealing your beauty to age or sap its strength will fail. A younger woman the child when the doctor told him that he must undergo uterine dream. Princess is so attractive that no longer married and her wedding night tarnished armor.

So what do you do when the music still plays, the dream is dead? Should you grieve your dreams. His dream was worth crying over. It's okay to feel the pain of loss. It was something you love, something you yourself a few, dedicated to sacrifice for you. Mourning the loss of your dreams. Express disappointment you feel.

But some dreams buried and sunk in despair. The hole is dark and ominous. They drugs, alcohol or sex through the temporary relief from want. Very well and never become suicidal.

To avoid some of their grief relieve employment strategy. They relate to the idea that seemingly "It's always darkest right before dawn." There is a light at the end of the tunnel. It's not usually nearly as fast as the way we like it comes to be.

For truly successful people just move on to attempt to find relief or escape. In their lives are not willing to live with the music. They insist on learning from their failures and the new start to make the live music. When the dream dies, it's time to try something else. A fresh start as long as it can before the end.

For Christians, hope is the source of that type of a lost dream is in Christ Jesus. He is really good in resurrections, just ask Lazarus. He sometimes selects dead dreams alive. He sometimes our dreams to die because they have become our idols allows. He sometimes we test if it is more important to us than our dreams and then anything we ever hoped for them beyond can replace it with another to see reality. Christians never say, "I'm too old for a new dream," because we understand that our life in Christ are eternal.
